East Lee County High School (currently under construction, 715 Thomas - Sherwin Avenue, in Lehigh Acres) This shelter won't be available for use until August. 2. South Fort Myers High School, 14020 Plantation Road. This shelter is ready now. Only dogs and cats will be permitted at these shelters. Pets and their people will have to stay in separate classrooms and guaridans must provide pet's food, leash, etc. Pet guardians will be required to pre-register.
